Sunday, May 6, has been set as the day for the Rotary Club of South Hilo’s annual Hilo Huli, according to Jack Stevenson, committee chair.

The yearly event is held on Coconut Island from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

This will be the 8th annual Hilo Huli, which will offer 21 different food and beverage stations. Local chefs will be featuring their special dishes, and various beverages vendors will be offering wine and beer tastings.

The event will also feature a silent auction and live entertainment.

It is a benefit to help the Rotary Club support a variety of community projects throughout East Hawaii, including the Rural Family Practice Residency program.

Advance tickets are $40 per person; $65 at the door. Tickets are now available from members of the Rotary Club of South Hilo or by calling 808-635-3649.
